I am so used to solving Zhouqin Burnikel puzzles on Wednesdays and Sundays, that I did a double-take when I saw the byline on today's puzzle, and wondered if I was confused about what day it is! It is indeed Monday, and after solving the puzzle, I understand why we have been treated to back-to-back Zhouqin Burnikel puzzles. Appropriate to see FREE AT LAST as a theme answer on this holiday honoring Martin Luther King, Jr. I encourage you to spend part of today reading some of King's writings. We have a long way to go and a lot of work to do to achieve King's dream and be able to say we are all FREE AT LAST. Today (and every day) is a good day to recommit to that work. The rest of the puzzle is enjoyable as well, with THAT'S FINAL and ALWAYS BE CLOSING rounding out a great set of theme answers. HOW'D IT GO and PLEASE RISE are wonderful non-theme bonuses. Solving this puzzle was a delightful way to begin my Monday.
